Call us: 320-231-1729 Prairie lakes youth programs-igniting youth dignity since 1991
Our programs are designed to meet our youth with dignity through our culturally relevant, trauma-informed, and evidence-based practices. Youth earn levels and phases as they demonstrate growth and progress throughout their individualized program.
The length of stay varies for each youth from one day to years, based on their individualized treatment plan, developed with the family, placement team, and PLYP team. Our programs become home for some of our youth who have no where else to go.
Daily activities and schedules are based on the program, ability to leave programs, individualization, and follow rule 2960.
A daily schedule typically includes:
Showers
Straightening rooms
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Snacks
School
Physical Recreation
Leisure

Independent Living Skills
Roommate and Household Tasks
Restorative Practices

and more!
In non-secure and group home programs youth have the opportunity to earn volunteering and work experiences with community partnerships. These opportunities are developed with the treatment team on an individualized basis.
